Out Walking

I called here for lunch during a day out walking. The pub looks well presented from the outside but you never know with these out of the way places. Well inside the pub is clean and cosy with a horsey theme to the decorations.The welcome from the bar staff was warm and helpful with a general description of food available as the menus were handed over. There looks to be some interesting stuff on the menu but I just wanted something simple and that was not a problem. Did I say the pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord I had was the best I've ever tasted? What a find. I'll definitely return.

Good old fashioned pub with home made grub

Just had lunch and have to say it was great. Paul Spencer the landlord does the cooking and he does it well. Very nicely presented good food accompanied by good traditional ales, my sort of pub, just wish I lived closer!

AMAZING LUNCH

Had a fantastic lunch here yesterday. My partner had a melt in the mouth delicious rib eye steak perfectly cooked. I had the special of Hake with green lipped mussels and langoustine tails to say it was fabulous would be an understatement. Well done Paul you are a truly brilliant chef and as we said we will definitely be back.
